The Huawei MediaPad T3 10 is an affordable 9.6-inch Android tablet built from a single piece of anodized aluminum with a polished metallic finish. At launch it sold for around $162.

Design and build

The body comes in Space Gray and stays light at 460 grams, with a thickness of 7.95 mm. The anodized aluminum shell adds durability and gives the surface a textured feel that is comfortable to hold over longer sessions.

Screen

The 9.6-inch display uses an IPS panel with a 157 ppi pixel density, an 800:1 contrast ratio, and 300 nits of brightness. The larger panel gives a wide viewing area for reading and watching video.

Battery

A 4800 mAh battery supports up to 10 hours of video playback and up to 10 hours of music playback, and it holds a standby charge for close to 20 days.

Software

The tablet runs Android 7 Nougat with Huawei’s EMUI 5.1 interface. EMUI 5.1 includes an automatic learning function that observes usage patterns and adjusts performance accordingly, alongside a set of personalization options.

Performance and storage

Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, paired with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The storage can be expanded with a microSD card. The hardware is set up for everyday tasks such as browsing, social media, and media playback rather than demanding workloads.

Cameras

Two cameras are fitted, one on each side of the tablet: a 2 MP camera on the front and a 5 MP camera on the back, both with autofocus.
