Poco F2 Pro review

The Poco F2 Pro is a smartphone built around a flagship Snapdragon 865 processor and a full-screen front made possible by a retractable front camera. This review covers the design and build, display, performance and software, camera, and battery of the Poco F2 Pro.

Design & Build

At 8.9 mm thick and 219 grams, the Poco F2 Pro is on the thick and heavy side. The front is uninterrupted because the selfie camera sits in a retractable module rather than a notch or cutout, which gives a clean full-screen look. The in-display fingerprint sensor reads reliably. Face recognition relies on the front camera and is less dependable as a result. The phone keeps a 3.5 mm headphone jack with 24-bit/192 kHz audio support. The speaker is mono rather than stereo, which limits its sound for media and games.

Display

The 6.67-inch Super AMOLED panel runs at Full HD+ resolution and supports HDR10+. Netflix streams in HD without certification issues. Brightness reaches up to 800 nits, so the screen stays legible in strong sunlight. The refresh rate is a standard 60 Hz. Users who want a high refresh rate will not find one here, but the AMOLED image and high brightness remain strong for everyday viewing and video.

Performance & Software

The Snapdragon 865 is the core of the Poco F2 Pro, paired with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The cooling solution helps the chip hold its performance under sustained load. Storage is not expandable, since the phone does not support microSD cards, so users who rely on card expansion will need to plan around the fixed capacity.

Camera

Four cameras sit on the back: a 64 MP Sony IMX686 main sensor, a 13 MP ultra-wide, a 5 MP macro, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The main camera performs well for the price. In automatic mode, night shots from both the main and secondary cameras trail those of pricier flagships. Night mode improves low-light results noticeably. Video has no OIS, but the electronic image stabilization is effective.

Battery

The 4700 mAh battery supports 30 W fast charging. In a PCMark battery test, the Poco F2 Pro returned more than 14 hours, enough for a full busy day and past a single day with lighter use.

Who Is Poco F2 Pro For?

The Poco F2 Pro suits users who want flagship-level performance and a full-screen AMOLED display without paying flagship prices. The Snapdragon 865, the 3.5 mm headphone jack, and the large 4700 mAh battery make it a strong fit for people who value raw speed, wired audio, and all-day endurance. Users who need a high refresh rate, expandable storage, or stereo speakers will not find them here; for everyone else the core experience stays fast and capable for daily use.
