Sony has stated accessories that can work on the PlayStation 5, including some of the parts we can purchase right now. The support of DualShock 4 will not be available for PS5 games. However, we will be able to use the DualShock 4 controller in some PS4 games that we will play in PS5 with backward compatibility.
Sony explained “We want users to be able to fully use the new platform features, including the DualSense wireless controller,” to the question of why DualShock is not available. This means that the PS4 controllers we already have will not be available for PlayStation 5 games. The controller, which is thought to not offer the desired experience due to the features added to the new generation console, will almost oblige users to buy the new DualShock controller along with the new PS5.
In the published statement, it was also emphasized that headphones, steering wheels, arcade, and flight accessories, which were released specifically for PS4, can be used on PS5 games that support technologies. In addition, VR accessories and PS Move kit will be available on PlayStation 5. Prior to the new State of Play event, which is expected to take place on 10 August, users have learned the facts after rumors about accessories.
