The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is a flagship-class smartphone built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855, a motorized pop-up front camera, and a triple rear camera that reaches 10x hybrid zoom. It predates OPPO’s later Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro. This review covers the Reno 10x Zoom across its design and build, display, performance, camera system, and battery.
Design & Build
The Reno 10x Zoom uses a pop-up camera that rises from the top edge, which lets the front fill almost the entire face with no notch and very slim bezels. The back is made entirely of glass, protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and carries three cameras, while aluminium frames the edges. The power button sits on the right and the volume buttons on the left. Along the bottom edge are a USB Type-C port and a second speaker. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack, which keeps things simple for users who already listen over USB-C or wireless. The phone also includes a fingerprint reader.
Display
The screen measures 6.6 inches and renders at a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Gorilla Glass 6 covers the front.
Performance
The Reno 10x Zoom runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855, with its prime core clocked at 2.84 GHz. Memory options cover 6, 8, and 12 GB of RAM, paired with 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.

Camera
The rear setup pairs a 48 MP main sensor with a periscope telephoto and an ultra-wide lens:
| Rear camera | Resolution | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Main | 48 MP | f/1.7, phase detection autofocus, laser autofocus, OIS |
| Telephoto (periscope) | 13 MP | 130 mm, 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom |
| Ultra-wide | 8 MP | Phase detection autofocus, OIS |
The camera records 4K video at 60 frames per second. On the front, a motorized pop-up module holds a 16 MP camera.
Battery
The Reno 10x Zoom carries a 4065 mAh battery and supports VOOC Flash Charge 3.0. In our tests, five minutes on the charger provides close to two hours of use, which keeps downtime short.
Who Is Oppo Reno 10x Zoom For?
The Reno 10x Zoom suits users who want a near full-screen front without a notch and real reach in their zoom, thanks to the periscope telephoto and its 10x hybrid range. The Snapdragon 855 and up to 12 GB of RAM handle demanding apps, and VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 tops the 4065 mAh battery up quickly. Users who depend on a 3.5 mm headphone jack will need another option, but for those who value a clean front and long optical reach, the Reno 10x Zoom is a strong fit.
