The Samsung Galaxy A10s sits in the entry-to-middle part of the Galaxy A line, where Samsung separates its mid-range phones into entry, middle and upper tiers. This review covers what the A10s offers.

Design and display

The A10s carries a 6.2-inch screen with thin bezels and a notch at the top. The panel is PLS TFT at HD+ resolution, which falls short of IPS or AMOLED panels but fits the phone’s segment. The notch holds an 8 MP front camera.

The body is plastic on the back and sides. The phone weighs 168 grams and measures 7.8 mm thick, so it stays manageable in one hand. It came in red, blue, black and green. For security it offers face recognition through the front camera and a fingerprint sensor on the back.

Performance and battery

Inside is a MediaTek MT6762 Helio P22 processor, enough for daily use, paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. A microSD slot allows the storage to be expanded.

Connectivity covers 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and FM radio. The 4000 mAh battery supports roughly two days of use.
