Printers have a reputation for jams, empty toner, and messy refills. The Epson EcoTank L15160 sets out to answer that reputation: it ships with three years’ worth of ink and prints 25 pages per minute. This review covers how it looks, how it handles ink, and how it performs.
Three Years of Ink in the Box
The L15160 comes with enough ink for about three years of use, and it prints 25 pages per minute in both color and black. Holding that same speed regardless of color puts it ahead of many models that slow down for color pages. There is a sub-model, the L15150, which prints 25 pages per minute in black but drops to 12 pages per minute in color.
Cost per page is low. During testing the printer handled a large number of prints, including magazine-length reads over the past month, and the tanks were still around half full. This is a review unit that passed through several hands before ours, so it had already seen heavy use.

Front Panel and Paper Trays
The front carries a 10 cm color LCD touchscreen, with command keys beside it. The panel tilts up or down to suit where the printer sits. Below it are two paper trays, each holding 250 sheets, and the printer supports A3.
Refilling the Ink
Besides the two trays, there is a 50-sheet rear feed. The ink tank sits on the left. On average use it needs refilling only after about three years. Refilling works by turning the ink bottles upside down onto the ports, so ink does not spill during the process, and the fill level shows on the front panel.
Performance
At 25 pages per minute in color or monochrome, the printer produces its first page in as little as 5.5 seconds. It connects over the network through an Ethernet port or Wi-Fi, and the Epson iPrint app allows printing from a tablet or phone.
Specifications
The L15160 does more than print: it scans, copies, and includes a fax feature, which still matters for institutions that require faxed documents. Print resolution reaches 4800×1200, and scanning reaches 2400×1200. Epson states the ink resists contact with liquid and that prints last for years without fading, though that durability claim takes time to verify.
In Brief
The Epson EcoTank L15160 is a solid printer. It is large, a size that comes with being multi-functional and supporting A3, and the print quality and speed held up well throughout testing.
Who Should Buy It?
It suits jobs with heavy print volume, such as an intensive home-office setup, and covers wider office needs as well.
