XPG Levante 240 Review

The XPG Levante 240 is a liquid all-in-one CPU cooler aimed at people building a new PC or upgrading an existing one. We spent a while running it, and this review covers how it installs, what it is made of, and how it performs.

Everything needed for installation ships in the box: Intel and AMD brackets, cables, and a booklet that walks through the fitting steps. On the Intel side it supports LGA 1200, 1366, 115x, 2066 and 2011 sockets; on the AMD side it covers the AM4 socket.

The Levante 240 uses a full-size heatsink. Two ringed 120 mm fans are mounted on the aluminum radiator. The fans carry 20 LEDs managed by ARGB Sync, which is compatible with most motherboards, including newer models.

The cooling is handled by a pump that circulates a low-evaporation coolant from the CPU to the 240 mm aluminum radiator through sleeved rubber pipes. It uses Asetek’s cooling solution, built around a 0.15 mm micro-channel copper plate for heat exchange across the contact area.

The fans run between 600 and 2000 rpm and keep noise low across that range, which is worth noting for anyone moving from an air cooler to a liquid one.

In our testing the Levante 240 held the processor at 25–27 °C at idle. Under load in benchmark software it stayed between 55–65 °C, and during gameplay it kept the processor between 35–40 °C.

For noise, the fans produced 34 dBA at 25 percent speed, 38 dBA at 50 percent, and 45 dBA at 100 percent.

The XPG Levante 240 suits builders assembling or upgrading a mid-to-high system who want liquid cooling with ARGB lighting and quiet fans at lower speeds. If you are looking at other XPG gear, you can also read our XPG Summoner review: https://www.techblimp.com/2020/09/04/xpg-summoner-review/
